Primaries: Aaaaarrrrrgggh!

Against our better judgment, we tuned into the last Presidential debate.  It was painful.  Even more painful was listening to Limbaugh and other pundits talk about it the next day, because they are so right.  We have a Marxist in the White House and our guys are destroying each other.  I don’t have to add much to it except…

Romney is not my favorite, but I will vote for him if nominated.  I don’t get a sense that he’s a reliable conservative, but hey, a not so reliable conservative beats a reliable Marxist.

I would prefer a non-Romney.  Since the non-Romeny vote is currently split, two out of three non-Romnies need to drop out.  I propose Gingrich, Santorum and Perry have a sit-down.  Not to talk, because who wants to be a gentlemen when the stakes are so high, but to draw straws.  Two short straws, one long.  The candidate who pulls the long one gets to stay in the race, and everyone else endorses him.

If he wishes to be principled — or cares about the future of the country — Ron Paul, who neither has any sort of cross-over appeal nor wants to win, should also drop out and endorse a non-Romney.  If not — well, now that Iowa and New Hampshire primaries are over, he can pack up and go home.  His son will thank him.

  2. I watched the early debates… kind of fun with so many wacky people… but now it’s just ugly and I won’t watch.

  3. I couldn’t bear to watch. Too grim for me.

    The GOP is cannibalizing itself.
