Lets Take Over Circle of Moms Political Blogger Contest!

Filed under: blogging, politics — Tags: — edge of the sandbox @ 10:53 pm

Not general elections or anything, but five days left to help conservative women take over Circle of Moms Top 25 Political Moms.

Lonely Conservative who is currently #2 weighs in:

There are only four days left to vote in the Top 25 Political Blogs contest at the Circle of Moms. We conservative moms are making headway, there are now just two commie mommies left in the top 5, but that’s two too many. We still need hundreds of votes to dominate this contest. We won’t win any prize, other than knowing we’ll do one small thing to debunk the notion that conservatives are anti-woman.

Here’s the list of conservative moms in the contest and our place in the contest as of 6:15 PM Eastern. Please vote for all of us.

2-Me

4-Michelle Malkin

5-Zilla of the Resistance

8-Atlas Shrugs

9-Let’s March for Scott Walker

10-Political Junkie Mom

11-Backyard Conservative

12-Moms 4 Sarah Palin

14Snark and Boobs

15-Jenny Erikson

16-Allen West Republic

17-Thoughts from a Conservative Mom

19-Jen Kuznicki

21-Katy’s Conservative Corner

25-No One of Any Import

26-Little Bites News

28-A Traditional Life Lived

29-Political Clown Parade

30-Pondering Penguin

31-Melissa

36-Temple of MUT

38- It’s Only Words

40-Sitting on the Edge of the Sandbox, Biting My Tongue

42-Kira Davis

54: Mommy Life

57-Lox Populi

Let me know if I missed anyone.

Zilla notes something curios:

You can vote for all of us every 24 hours until 4pm PST (7pm EST) on April 4th. You can only vote once per 24 hours but you can vote at that time for each and every one of us Conservative Bloggers, so please do! Please link, Tweet, post to facebook, G+, email or whatever to help get the vote out for us! A blogger who self identifies as “leftist, very leftist” and is all about getting Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker recalled is in the lead by hundreds of votes. Every time The Lonely Conservative (currently in 2nd place) gets a bunch of votes, the leftist blog mysteriously gets exactly or close to exactly the same amount more votes within moments of TLC’s votes increasing, that seems kind of odd to me. Watch the numbers and see if you notice it. Anyway, you can either support us by voting so we can help wreck up the leftist narrative that Conservatism is “anti-woman”, or you can let the commie mommies win – your choice.

Some wonder is conservatives are non-women, all of us.  Anyhow, after observing the top 10, I can confirm that Monologues of the Dissent somehow mysteriously makes it to #1.  Linda NoOne noted that top blog is run by a self-proclaimed “commie-mommy”.  Huh.

Meanwhile, King Shamus had a lot of nice things to say about us, conservative moms, including:

The thing I get out of this is just how deep the right-of-center side really is.  We don’t have a lot of rigid ideologues on our team.  Instead, we have great writers who use their experiences–in the case, as mothers–to inform their conservatism.  That means that the Right gets a broad range of thinking on a variety of subjects, not blinkered dogmatic hammer heads.

All I can say, even if commie-mommy has to win, lets make sure that the other 24 top bloggers are the anti-commies.

UPDATE: Many thanks for the shout-out at Adrienne’s Corner.

So the beginning of the beginning…..This week on the grossly divisive nature of partisan politics “on the street”, even loving, nurturing mothers can justify looking down their noses…

  5. Progressive bloggers: oh, cool, a fun little contest that will bring some new readers to my blog, thanks for the nomination. Oh, yeah, readers, go ahead and vote for me if you think of it.

Conservative bloggers: BATTLE OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL. TO THE DEATH. Vote for me every single day to control the minds of the public! Dig up grandma and get her vote! THIS MEANS WAR!

What is it about having fun that is so difficult for you people?

    • Ha ha, we are actually currently having a great time, meeting new-to-us bloggers, while trouncing the left side of the political spectrum in the process.

Also, nice try mischaracterizing our competitive zeal, but I don’t recall the words “evil” or “to the death” or “war” at this blog, or mine. The worst I’ve heard is from some lefty trolls leaving insults over at mine.

      cheers, Missy S!

      • Plus, considering that in real world Eric Holder is waging a war on voter id, it’s interesting that she’s talking of digging up grandma.

  6. Infidel, Zilla,
    Thank you.
    MWS,
Interesting to read what you ascribe to conservatives. And no, there is nothing funny or cute about being a communist… or rigging a competition.

  7. I voted for you again.

    Need I say you’re all winners? 🙂

    • We are. We are all moving up as a block, and we are meeting new people online. And thank you. 🙂

      • This survey was an interesting idea. I can’t say as though I picture Atlas Shrugged as a Mommy Blog though.
